Permanent Booking Terms & Conditions
The Toowong Tennis Courts are managed by the Toowong State School Parents & Citizens Association, a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation supporting the Toowong State School community. All profits from court hire go directly towards supporting school programs and facilities.
By booking and using the tennis court, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms are in place to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and fair use of the facility for all patrons.

Bookings and Cancellations

Permanent bookings must be made through the P&C Business Manager via the tennis@toowongpandc.org.au email.

Permanent booking options are available for:

Permanent bookings requested after the start of a booking period will be pro-rated.

Booking periods cannot be adjusted once confirmed.

Except in cases of weather-related closure, credits do not apply to permanent bookings.

Courts may be unavailable due to scheduled events, maintenance, or unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, users will be notified in advance. A credit will be applied to the next 6-month or 12-month booking period.
Weather & Force Majeure

If play is cancelled due to weather, notice must be provided via email to tennis@toowongpandc.org.au within 24 hours of the cancelled booking to be eligible for a credit.

If the courts are wet at the start of your booking or if rain begins during play, please be aware that wet surfaces significantly increase the risk of slips and injuries. Use the courts at your own discretion and risk.

The Toowong State School P&C reserves the right to close the courts at any time due to poor weather conditions or for maintenance caused by weather-related damage.

The P&C is not liable for disruptions or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, power outages, or government restrictions.
User Conduct (Players, Coaches, Parents & Spectators)

Aggressive or inappropriate behaviour toward employees, volunteers, or other users is strictly prohibited and may result in removal and banned access to the courts.

Coaching or commercial activities are not permitted. Court bookings are for private use only.

No drugs, alcohol, or smoking is allowed on the tennis courts or surrounding school property.

Animals are not permitted in the courts, with the exception of those permitted by law (e.g., assistance animals).
Supervision and Safety

No first aid services are provided on site. In the event of an emergency, users should contact emergency services immediately.

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while using the courts. Users are responsible for ensuring their own safety and the safety of any minors they accompany.

The Toowong State School P&C or school is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the use of the tennis courts. Users are advised to exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings at all times.

The Toowong State School P&C is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
Venue Use and Etiquette

Courts may only be used for the date, time, and number of courts specified in your booking.

Access details are issued for the exclusive use of the booking holder and must not be shared. Misuse may result in cancellation of bookings.

Users are not to move or remove any venue fixtures or fittings.

Only tennis balls are permitted on the courts. The use of other equipment (e.g. soccer balls, baseballs) is not allowed.

Appropriate non-marking sports footwear must be worn at all times. Bare feet or inappropriate footwear are not permitted.

Users must respect the local community, particularly during early morning and late evening bookings.

Excessive noise, including loud music, shouting, or amplified sound, is not permitted at any time.

A maximum of 4 players are permitted per court at any one time.

Upon departure, users are to ensure the courts and sitting areas are left clean and tidy, the lights are turned off, and the gate is securely closed

Users may be held financially responsible for any damage caused to the courts, equipment, or facilities due to misuse or negligence.
Payment

Invoices will be sent via email at a minimum of two weeks prior to the booking period.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or by the online link provided.

A 2% booking fee will apply to online payments.

Users are to reference their surname and invoice number with payments.

The P&C reserves the right to cancel bookings if account payments are not up to date.
Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the suspension or termination of your booking privileges, at the discretion of the Toowong State School P&C.
The Toowong State School P&C reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Patrons will be notified of any changes that may affect their usage of the court.
